My passion for music began with the guitar, so I still tend to think of music largely through that "lens". With that said, I have a constant desire to learn more about music, and to learn to play many instruments. As a result, I tend to create music that is out of the ordinary, but quite memorable.

So what's the deal with me anyway?

Ok, where to start. Well, I'm a guy who's been playing music for almost 25 years. It's all my dad's fault. I grew up listening to him play guitar, and I caught the bug too. At 13, I got my first guitar, and I've never looked back. I spent many years playing in various incarnations of several different bands, and while fun, I've found much greater satisfaction in composing music as a solo artist. There is something very freeing about being able to write music without having to explain to someone else what it is you're trying to do. It gives me the complete control which in turn allows me to make emotive and textured music.

I've had my work featured in a variety of forums. Everything from HBO's "The Sopranos" to The Omni Hotel's "Turndown Service" to independent films, such as those in the "48 Hour Film Project". I'm always interested in collaborating with other artists (filmmakers, graphic artists, other musicians, etc). If any of my stuff interests you in any way, please don't hesitate to contact me. All of the pieces on composermike.com are available for licensing. I can be flexible on any terms, so just reach out, and let's see if we can create something.
